Liviu Giugiumica is the Founder and Managing Partner of Trident Capital Investments
Liviu is a top Romanian investment banker with over 20 years of experience in the financial markets, with a successful track record in the origination, structuring and execution of Capital Markets, M&A, Structured Products, Investment Advisory and Investor Relations Advisory mandates.
From 2006 to 2011 he was CEO of UniCredit CAIB Securities, and Head of Capital Markets in Romania for UniCredit Markets where he built up one of the most successful investment banking/brokerage operations in Romania (ranked number one in 2007). He was responsible for the origination and distribution of capital markets mandates (including ECM, DCM, private equity and derivative transactions) to international institutional investors. In addition he had to coordinate the origination and distribution effort with the global product groups, to lead capital markets initiatives and budgeting process, to support the divisionalisation effort, facilitate cross product cooperation, manage and monitor customer business through the entire markets value chain, coordinate internal interfaces with competence lines and oversee the risk management within the given risk framework.
Between 2002 and 2006 he was CEO of BRD Societe Generale Securities where he managed to set up a highly successful investment banking/brokerage operation in Romania with ECM, DCM, research, sales and trading at the core of the business, widely recognised by international fund managers as one of the best houses in Romania.
Throughout his career Liviu was involved in many landmark deals in the European Emerging Markets universe.
Liviu holds and MBA and an Honors BBA from York University in Toronto Canada.
